Analysis reports

Once the diamonds and other gemstones have been fully tested, the laboratory will display his results through an analysis report. We have three different kinds of reports:

The gemological report

The gemological report is a full document, format A4, which presents the gemological characteristics of each tested stone. Two main kinds exist. Their content will depend on the identity of the analyzed stone.

The gemological reports issued after the analysis of colored gemstones, are documents that are mainly correlated to the identification of the stones. In some case, the report may also indicate the possible geographical origin of the stones.

Regarding colored and colorless diamonds, the gemological report is not only an identification report but it also contains a large part dedicated to the graduation (color grading and clarity grading among others) of the diamonds.

The gemological card

The gemological card is a credit-card-size document. As it is the case for the gemological reports, two kinds of gemological cards exist. One is dedicated to the identification of colored gemstones and the other to the grading of diamonds.

The difference between a gemological report and a gemological card concerns the amount of information given on each document.

On the contrary to the gemological report, the gemological card is only available for trading professionals.

The electronic note

The electronic note is a document that is available for professionals only. It presents most of the data that are shown in the gemological report. This document is issued at the same time as the gemological report. It can be seen online on our website through each client account. Only the original gemological report and the original gemological card are valid documents. The electronic note is a partial document that can be needed for purposes between professionals only. The advantage of the electronic document is that it is possible to access to it through Internet, wherever you are in the world. Therefore it can help to the mobility of the stones and the dealers.
